We will be running the Book Fair for the seventeenth successive year over

Spring Half Term 2018 from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th February 2018 inclusive

and open for donations of books from Wednesday 7th to Sunday11th February.

For those interested in helping or just finding out more about our Book Fair please come along to an opening meeting at 10.30am on Saturday 4th November 2017 at Epsom Methodist Church.

With the opening of the Roots Coffee Shop in April this year we will, during the Book Fair, be serving coffee and lunch from there (in Room A). This will mean a new layout for books including books in the Lower Lounge and the Creche Room.

Last year we raised an incredible £36,006, yet again exceeding the amount raised in the previous year, and we welcome as much help as possible from all members of Epsom Methodist Church.

In addition, as we did last year, we will be asking several external charities to help with the sorting. Action for Children and Hope4Malawi (St Paul’s Howell Hill) have already agreed to come along and help and we will be adding the Garden Route Children’s Trust who are based in Oxshott as a new charity providing sorters this year.

Just as important an objective as the fund raising is the demonstration of outreach which the Fair provides to the residents of Epsom and last year we had over 2500 people visiting our Church for the Fair.

In addition, the community spirit and camaraderie amongst those who worked at making the Fair happen was fantastic: so many people say how much they enjoy coming along and helping in any way they can.
